TubeDeck is a Chrome browser extension that helps you organize your YouTube subscriptions into custom categories and track channel activity. This policy explains what data the extension accesses, how it is used, and how it is stored.
TubeDeck accesses the following information:
youtube.com/feed/channels using your authenticated browser session.
All data is stored locally on your device using the browser's built-in
chrome.storage.local API. No data is transmitted to any external server,
database, or third party. TubeDeck has no backend.
The data is used exclusively to:
When you import your subscriptions, TubeDeck opens a temporary background tab pointing to
youtube.com/feed/channels. This tab is used to read your subscription list,
which requires your authenticated YouTube session and cannot be obtained with a simple
network request. The tab is automatically closed once the import is complete.
TubeDeck does not share, sell, or transmit any data to third parties. All information remains on your local device.
You can delete all TubeDeck data at any time by removing the extension from Chrome
(chrome://extensions), which clears all locally stored data.
Alternatively, you can clear data from within the extension settings.
If you have questions about this policy, please open an issue on the TubeDeck GitHub repository.
